What is Salesforce and What Does it do? You’ve probably heard of Salesforce.com (CRM)  before, or your company may even use its services. But what is Salesforce, and what does it do?

What is Salesforce?

Salesforce is Cloud-based software as service company (SAAS), that is specialized in customer relationship management (CRM). Salesforce allows businesses to use cloud technology to connect with customers, partners, and potential customers. Its primary objective is to manage the relationship between business and their customers.

It helps companies to grow by driving customer engagement, allow to run a personalized marketing campaign, increase sales.

It gives companies an interface for case management and task management and a system for automatically routing. The Salesforce customer portal provides customers the ability to track their own cases, includes a social networking plug-in that enables the user to join the conversation(Chatter) about their company on a social networking website, provides analytical tools(Reports and Dashboards) and other services like email alert, Google search,  and contracts.

Salesforce is now the market leader in cloud-based solutions.

What is salesforce used for?

Companies and businesses use Salesforce to connect with their customers, understand the variety of levels and help to grow their business.

As Salesforce is cloud-based allow companies to track real-time analytics, customer support and success, customer complaints and solution, and other CRM function with the ease of cloud storage.

According to the Salesforce website, companies that use the software see average increases in a sort of areas, including a mean 27% increase in sales revenues, 32% increase in lead conversion, 34% increase in customer satisfaction, and a 56% faster deployment.

Salesforce is also used by companies to work with marketing, track sales, and analyze performance. A variety of different clouds allow users to analyze various data, maintain communication with customers, implement sales strategies, and more.

How Does the salesforce work?

Salesforce is Software-as-a-service (SAAS) company, which means it uses cloud computing technology, it works on multi-tenant architecture (software-based model) which host application and make them online.

Salesforce hosts different cloud platforms that allow companies to work with different data and services. Salesforce has multiple cloud platforms – A service cloud, marketing cloud, health cloud, sales cloud, community cloud, analytics cloud, IoT cloud, chatter cloud, commerce cloud, and Heroku engagement cloud.

Service cloud – The service cloud allows companies to connect with customers and deliver premium customer service through showing customer activity and resolving complaints and issues.

Sales cloud- Sales cloud give the ability companies to track contacts, and opportunity, generate leads and manage a team to increase sales.

marketing-cloud- With salesforce marketing cloud companies can manage the customer journeys and can provide multichannel marketing campaigns.

community cloud- While their community cloud allows customers to connect with each other and companies can also communicate with their customers.

Still, Salesforce’s entire model supports customer relationship management (CRM).
